To provide an online resource for Healing Arts providers in your area along with articles, books and news related to the Healing Arts.

About us:

As a Contemplative psychotherapist, part of my view on health is holistic and integrative. A holistic perspective looks at all aspects of a person’s life.  This includes areas that are related to the body, the mind and the spirit.  Healing Arts is about how modern science, conventional wisdom and ancient traditions can become integrated into creating health and wellness for the individual and community.

Healing Arts Café is a place where professionals can cross reference professions and refer clients to each other.  I am very interested in helping clients get connected with other health providers that can help facilitate personal health and wellbeing.  It can be difficult to find a Healing Arts professional unless you know someone who knows someone.  Most of the time, referrals are done by word of mouth.  My referrels come from professionals that I have worked with personally or are recommended by someone I trust.  Healing Arts Café is a resource that can help educate and connect people about integrative health.

Getting Connected Locally….

During the Fall of 2009, I traveled to Alabama to visit my family.  While traveling my sciatica flared up and I really needed to find a massage practitioner and/or chiropractor.  The phone book and internet didn’t offer enough information or choices about the providers for me to feel comfortable making an appointment.  Also, I didn’t know anyone who could offer a referral.  I thought, “there really needs to be an online way to peruse different providers and get a feel for who they are and what is their specialty.  Healing Arts Cafe can be the resource for multiple professional disciplines with the opportunity to read articles by those local professionals.

We have Experience with the Healing Arts, Advertising and the Internet

For nearly 10 years I have been involved with online directory listing and advertising. The internet is the most cost effective and accessible way for professionals and consumers to connect.  The vision of a website like Healing Arts Café didn’t seem possible until a timely conversation with my brother made me think we could totally make this happen.  His 30 years experience with computer programming and recent web blog baby:www.soaringcafe.com made The Healing Arts Cafe a real possibility.

Our goal is to provide a listing of professionals in a variety of the Healing Arts.  We both love connecting our friends with these professionals and think we have found the perfect way to link these worlds.  The home page contains articles written by professionals on topics that interest them and hopefully you, as well as news, books and local events.
